In hydroponic growing system, where pump and motors replace natural or manual tasks take up energy; so to further reduce the amount of energy in a hydroponic system, specially with ebb & flow system, we can use the natural evaporation to our advantage. Basically having the grow medium on a balance, when the water evaporate it will raise the container, elevating to a higher level. As it pass certain level, it will flip a lever, which will enable the water to flow into the container, and the additional water weight will lower the container back down. As the container traversing down, it can rotate fan blades. At the lowest position, the container can push on another level to discharge the water. Once the water is drain, the moisture left in the container will slowly evaporate due to heat & air flow (thus the fan). The whole cycle repeats again.
