Took us, I and Thuy around 6 hours from the time we went to Lowe's to select & buy a water heater, brought it home, removed the old one, and put in the new one.

It's a Whirlpool Smart Energy 50gal with 12-year warranty. The old one last 19 years, so we hope this one would last around that time, or 20yrs. That will put us around 70yrs old when we need to replace the water heater again.
