About several months ago, our remote key failed to open the van doors and it does not matter how hard or how many times we pushed. So, I thought this is just the battery at the key died and hope someday that I have time to open the key up and replace the battery.

 It turned out that the sliding door switch at lower left steering column was pressed in, not allowing for the motor assist? Oh well, after pressing in & out for couple times, the door started to work again. Did not have to fix anything. Also, I found & order two new clickers to remotely open/close doors online. It was shipped within a week. I was so excited that I went out to the van at 8pm & programed the clicker. The instruction is pretty clear, but ... tedious: open driver door, close driver door, open driver door, close driver door, insert key, pull out key, open driver door, close driver door, insert key, open driver door, pull out key ...etc. But amazingly, it works! So, now we have TWO remote clickers. |
