I have a hard time to configure the Shuttle X PC, loaded with Ubuntu 9.10 to use the wide screen LCD of native resolution of 1440x900. So here are few links from the net which may help resolve the issues. First of all the Shuttle X - Shuttle X Review I use this review to find out more about the video chip, which is a SiS 651, 315 series driver.
- Then come the SiS driver developer site, which I have to say, he's such a dedicate & generous developer
Things to try - Set the following options
- Option "ForceCRT1VGAAspect" "wide"
- Option "DynamicModelist" "on"
- Option "ScreenGrow" "on"
- Option "ScaleLCD" "yes"
- Option "CenterLCD" "yes"
- Consider setting the bit depth to lower values (ie. 8,12) for 1440x900 resolution.
