CEL on the Honda

The CEL was on for about a week now, and the codes are P0131 & P0132, which points to the Primary Oxygen sensor.

Some discussions on the internet indicates that if the wiring is touching the heat shield or manifold, which can cause a short, then the code may be triggered as well; since basically, it's shorted to GND.

On 3/21/2014, replaced the Oxygen sensor, and this fixed the problem.

Removed by:
  1. Unplug the sensor connector
  2. Remove three 12mm bolts which hold the heat shield
  3. Use 7/8 wrench to remove the sensor
Install
  1. Apply the anti-seize grease on the sensor thread
  2. Install the sensor by hand, then tight with the 7/8 wrench
  3. Install the heat-shield, and 3 bolts.
The sensor was bought from Autoplicity, Amazon for $48.78. DEN 234-4620.
