Few days ago, my brother-in-law showed me a panoramic view of the kitchen on his iPhone, and it's really cool! I still remember the pains that I went through just to create something similar few years ago, which led me to abandon the idea of creating panoramic images all together. In the old days, if I want to create something that cool, I have to setup the tripod, mount the camera on it, taking a series of pictures one for each slice of the view pie. During the photo taking session, I had to make sure that my tripod is stable & pictures are overlapping, else the software will not able to stitch them together and produce the final image. I also remember that it took a long time, couple hours, for the software to stitch the pictures together. The same concept was realized in couple minutes on my brother-in-law's iPhone and I was floored. He then showed me again, and again for me to see of how simple it is to take panoramic pictures! Take a look for yourself, and all I want now is an iPhone with that app pre-loaded.
